Suggestions from Fr. John Ridgway's Homily July 25, 2010

July 25, 2010

1. In accordance with the presence of God's kingdom and the Holy Spirit, identify one new possibility for which to ask in how you live. Try to include an apostolic thrust--how your new possibility might serve others, e.g. persons enduring loneliness or illness, or children with special needs.

2. Detect any obstacles which hinder attainment of your new possibility. Be aware of the impact which doubt, procrastination, or resignation has on you. Petition the Spirit for wisdom and courage in managing these obstacles.

3. Ask Jesus -- boldly and persistently -- for what you desire and for creativity and perseverance in receiving it. Imagine yourself being and living your new possibility.

4. Express gratitude.
